Introduction: Metformin-induced lactic acidosis (MALA) is one of the most important drug toxicities with high morbidity and mortality rates. Nonspecific symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, hypotension, tachycardia, tachypnea, arrhythmia, renal insufficiency, coma and cardiac arrest can be seen.
